Service overview

What this service is

Clean, audit-ready books maintained every month. Delivered end-to-end by Bluman's Chartered Accountants with a fixed scope and a published price.

Who needs it

Startups, small and mid-sized businesses and professionals who need accurate, current books each month without hiring an in-house accounts team — particularly where GST returns, TDS and an eventual audit all depend on the same ledger being right.

What Bluman will do

  • Record and categorise the month's transactions from bank statements, sales invoices, purchase bills and expense records into your chart of accounts.
  • Reconcile every bank and payment-gateway account, and flag transactions with no supporting document rather than force-fitting them.
  • Maintain party-wise receivable and payable ledgers so ageing is visible, not reconstructed at year end.
  • Cross-check sales and purchase entries against GST return data so books and returns do not drift apart.
  • Account for TDS and other statutory deductions in the correct period.
  • Close the month and issue a summary with the trial balance, profit and loss, and a short list of exceptions needing your decision.

Key deliverables

  • Reconciled books for the month
  • Trial balance, profit and loss statement, and balance sheet
  • Bank reconciliation statements
  • Receivable and payable ageing
  • Month-close summary with exceptions and missing-document list

Books are closed each month after the previous month's bank statements and documents are received. The first month typically takes longer because opening balances and the chart of accounts have to be set up.

  • · Government fees, portal charges and applicable taxes are billed at actuals.
  • · Timelines start once complete documents and information are received.
  • · Outcomes that depend on a government authority cannot be guaranteed, but every step is tracked and communicated.

Documents required

  • Bank statements for all business accounts, in Excel or PDF
  • Sales invoices or a sales register for the month
  • Purchase bills and expense receipts
  • Payment gateway and marketplace settlement reports, where applicable
  • Payroll register, if employees are on the books
  • Loan statements and asset purchase invoices
  • Access to your accounting software, if you already use one

What we need from you

  • Share statements and bills by an agreed date each month — a late month pushes the close.
  • Answer queries on unidentified transactions; entries cannot be guessed.
  • Tell us about non-bank transactions, cash dealings and related-party movements.

Important conditions

  • GST and TDS return filing, statutory audit and payroll processing are separate services.
  • Reconstruction of past periods and backlog clean-up is quoted separately after a review.
  • Accounting software subscription charges, if any, are borne by you.

What is an Open Order?
