Cash Flow & Savings

Do you know roughly where your money goes each month?

What is a financial health check?

A financial health check is a short, structured review of how your money is organised — what you keep from what you earn, how well your family is protected, whether your borrowings are manageable, and whether your investments are attached to real goals. It looks at behaviour, not at how much you earn or own. Two people with the same ₹1.5 lakh monthly income can be in very different financial positions.

What this check measures

Twenty-one questions across seven areas, each carrying a different weight in the final score.

  • Cash Flow & Savings (15% of the score) — What you keep from what you earn.
  • Protection & Insurance (20% of the score) — How well your family is shielded.
  • Debt (15% of the score) — Whether borrowing is working for you.
  • Investments (15% of the score) — Consistency and spread of investing.
  • Goals & Retirement (15% of the score) — Planning beyond this year.
  • Financial Organisation (10% of the score) — Records, nominations and succession.
  • Financial Awareness & Safety (10% of the score) — Judgement and fraud safety.

How the score works

Each answer carries a score out of 100. Answers within an area are averaged to give a pillar score, and the seven pillar scores are combined using the weights above to give your overall score out of 100. Protection carries the highest weight because an uninsured medical event or the loss of an earning member undoes years of saving faster than any other single event.

How to read your result

  • 80100 Strong Your finances are in good shape. Keep reviewing annually.
  • 6079 Healthy, With Room to Improve The base is solid; a few gaps are holding you back.
  • 4059 Needs Attention Several important areas need work in the next few months.
  • 039 Priority Action Needed Start with protection and cash flow before anything else.

Frequently asked questions

What is a financial health check?

It is a short self-assessment of how you manage money — how much you keep, how well your family is protected, how your borrowings are placed, and whether your investments are tied to real goals. It is not a product review and not a credit score.

Does my income or net worth decide the score?

No. The score is behaviour-based. Someone earning a modest salary with an emergency fund, term cover and steady investing will score higher than a high earner with no protection and revolving card dues.

How long does it take?

About three minutes. You answer one question at a time across seven areas, and you can go back and change any answer before you see the result.

Is anything I enter stored?

No. The answers stay in your browser for the length of the session and are never sent anywhere or saved by Bluman.

What do the score bands mean?

80–100 is strong financial health, 60–79 is healthy with room to improve, 40–59 needs attention, and 0–39 means priority action is needed — usually on protection and cash flow first.

This check is an educational self-assessment created by Bluman. It does not recommend any specific product, scheme or provider, and it is not investment, insurance or tax advice. Nothing you enter is stored.
