Service overview

What this service is

Keep your mark alive with timely renewal. Delivered end-to-end by Bluman's Chartered Accountants with a fixed scope and a published price.

Who needs it

Proprietors of registered trademarks approaching the end of the registration term, and those whose mark has lapsed and needs restoration within the permitted period.

What Bluman will do

  • Verify the registration details, renewal due date and current status on the Registry record.
  • Confirm the proprietor and address for service are current, and file the change where the details are out of date, since renewal notices are sent to the recorded address.
  • Prepare and file the renewal application with the prescribed government fee before expiry.
  • Where the mark has already lapsed, advise on the restoration route and the additional fee and file it within the permitted window.
  • Confirm the renewed status on the Registry record and set a reminder for the next term.

Key deliverables

  • Filed renewal application with the receipt
  • Confirmation of the renewed status on the Registry record
  • Next renewal date reminder

Best filed in the months before expiry. Late renewal attracts a surcharge, and restoration is possible only within the permitted period after expiry.

  • · Government fees, portal charges and applicable taxes are billed at actuals.
  • · Timelines start once complete documents and information are received.
  • · Outcomes that depend on a government authority cannot be guaranteed, but every step is tracked and communicated.

Forms and filings involved

  • TM-R

Application for renewal of a registered trademark, or renewal with surcharge after expiry.

  • TM-P

Request to record a change in proprietor details or address for service.

Documents required

  • Registration certificate and registration number
  • Proprietor details as currently recorded
  • Power of attorney in the prescribed form, where we file on your behalf

What we need from you

  • Track the renewal date; the Registry's notice may not reach an old address.
  • Pay the government fee and any surcharge at actuals.

Important conditions

  • Renewal is recorded by the Trade Marks Registry.
  • A mark removed from the register beyond the restoration window must be applied for afresh, with the risk of intervening rights.

What is an Open Order?

Even after a service is marked Completed, your order stays open for follow-up. You can reopen the same ticket for clarifications or related queries within the access window of your plan — the original order details, documents and full history are retained, and no duplicate order is created.

  • · Concierge — 60 days of post-completion access
  • · Reopening is subject to the scope of the original service.
