How is this calculated?

Formula: Estimated Revised Basic = Current Basic Pay × Fitment Factor. Allowances are then applied on the revised basic.

Example: Basic pay ₹44,900 with a 2.57× scenario gives an estimated revised basic of ₹1,15,393 before allowances.

  • No fitment factor has been notified — treat every figure here as a scenario.
  • Existing DA merges into the revised basic, so DA restarts from zero.
  • Compare two or three factors before planning any commitment.

Your entries are user inputs; rates and returns you cannot control are assumptions. Results are illustrative, not a statutory computation.

How this calculator works

Estimated Revised Basic = Current Basic Pay × Fitment Factor. Allowances are then applied on the revised basic.

Example

Basic pay ₹44,900 with a 2.57× scenario gives an estimated revised basic of ₹1,15,393 before allowances.

Assumptions

  • No 8th Pay Commission fitment factor has been officially notified. Every factor shown here is a scenario, not an approved figure.
  • DA is assumed to reset to 0% when a new pay matrix takes effect, as happened at earlier revisions.
  • HRA, TA and deductions are your inputs and may change on notification.

Frequently asked questions

Has the 8th Pay Commission fitment factor been announced?

No. As of now there is no notified fitment factor. This calculator lets you model commonly discussed scenarios such as 2.00×, 2.57× and 3.00× so you can see the range of possible outcomes.

Why does DA become zero in the revised figures?

At each pay commission the existing dearness allowance is merged into the revised basic pay and DA restarts from zero, rising again with future instalments.

Is the take-home figure exact?

No. It is an illustration based on the allowances and deductions you enter. Actual pay depends on the notified pay matrix, your city classification and department-specific deductions.

Statutory limits used here reflect FY 2025-26 (AY 2026-27). Results are illustrative and do not constitute tax, legal or investment advice. Speak to a Bluman Chartered Accountant before acting on them.
