Filed a loss this year? Still file your ITR.

Service overview

What this service is

ITR filing for salaried individuals covers salary income, house property, interest and other income in a single return. It is for employees, pensioners and anyone whose primary income is a salary — including people with more than one Form 16 during the year. Bluman reconciles your Form 16 against AIS and Form 26AS, reviews the deductions you are eligible for, compares the old and new tax regimes, and files the return after a Chartered Accountant's review.

Who needs it

Salaried employees with income from salary, one or more house properties, bank and deposit interest, and modest other income. If you also traded in shares, sold property or ran a business or profession during the year, a different return applies.

What Bluman will do

  • Read Form 16 alongside the Annual Information Statement and Form 26AS, and reconcile every income and tax-credit entry the department already has against you.
  • Compare the old and new tax regimes on your actual numbers and recommend the one that leaves you better off for the year.
  • Claim the deductions and exemptions you are genuinely entitled to — HRA, home loan interest, 80C, 80D, NPS and others — with the supporting evidence checked.
  • Handle salary from more than one employer during the year, where double basic exemption and duplicated deductions are a common error.
  • Prepare the computation, share it for your approval, file the return and complete e-verification.

Key deliverables

  • Tax computation sheet approved by you
  • Filed return with acknowledgement and e-verification confirmation
  • Note on the regime chosen and why

Filed within the stated turnaround once documents are complete, and within the due date when documents arrive in good time.

  • · Government fees, portal charges and applicable taxes are billed at actuals.
  • · Timelines start once complete documents and information are received.
  • · Outcomes that depend on a government authority cannot be guaranteed, but every step is tracked and communicated.

How this service runs

  1. 1

    Document review

Form 16, AIS and 26AS are read together and mismatches are listed.

  2. 2

    Regime comparison

Tax under both regimes is computed on your figures and the better option is recommended.

  3. 3

    Computation

A draft computation is shared with you for approval before anything is filed.

  4. 4

    Filing and verification

The return is filed and e-verification is completed; the acknowledgement is shared.

Forms and filings involved

  • ITR-1 / ITR-2

Return form selected according to your income sources for the year.

  • Form 16

Employer's certificate of salary paid and tax deducted.

  • Form 26AS / AIS

Department records of tax credits and reported transactions, used for reconciliation.

Documents required

  • Form 16 from each employer for the year
  • Bank interest certificates and deposit statements
  • Rent receipts or landlord PAN details where HRA is claimed
  • Home loan interest and principal certificate
  • Investment and insurance proofs for deductions claimed
  • Income tax portal login credentials

What we need from you

  • Disclose all income, including interest, dividends and any second job — the department already sees most of it in the AIS.
  • Keep deduction proofs; they are your evidence if the return is later questioned.

Important conditions

  • Refund timing is controlled by the department and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Notices, capital gains and business income are handled under the relevant separate services.

Frequently asked questions

Which documents do I need to file a salaried ITR?

Form 16 from each employer for the year, bank interest details, proof of the deductions you want to claim, and your PAN and Aadhaar. Your AIS and Form 26AS are pulled and reconciled as part of the service.

Will you tell me whether the old or new regime is better?

Yes. A regime comparison is part of the service — your tax under both regimes is computed on your actual numbers before the return is filed.

I changed jobs during the year. Can you still file?

Yes. Multiple Form 16s are consolidated, and duplicate exemption or deduction claims across employers are corrected before filing.
